No Grief for Heroes in "The Fifth Stage"
Heroes continued it's return to respectability in "The Fifth Stage." While the show has improved tremendously (IMHO) from last season, I think there's still a lot of work to do. What do you think? Click here to read my entire review (including spoilers) and disucss the episode.

V's Fall Ending "Is Only the Beginning"
Repi writes about V's "This Is Only the Beginning:" "I thought the fall finale of V was the strongest episode yet. It also established that they have changed the rules from the last time around." I agree that this episode was a little better than the previous one, but I'm still not very ...

Star Wars Gets Alien in "Legacy"
Last week's episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars tried to do something different. "Legacy of Terror" seemed to want to slip into the thriller or horror genres, which is a little surprising for a show aimed primarily at pre-teens. Unfortunately I thought the result fell a little short. What ...

Should SF Shows Give Thanks for Ratings?
Most of the broadcast networks typically punt during the week of Thanksigiving in the U.S., pre-empting their regular lineups or airing reruns. Just three sci-fi or fantasy shows aired new episodes last week: Heroes, V and Eastwick. Heroes was up by a tiny margin, and V was flat against the ...

Clone Wars Builds Character in "Factory"
I'm running more than a week behind on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Last week's episode, "Weapons Factory," was one of the strongest so far this season, I thought. It demonstrated both the strengths and weaknesses of Anakin's character. What did you think? Click here to read my entire review ...

"Thanksgiving" Is Good for Heroes
I thought Heroes kept up its run of stronger episodes in "Thanksgiving." The three storylines played together well and picked up on details from earlier in the season. What did you think? Click here to read my entire review (including spoilers) and discuss the episode.

Did Fringe Observe All in "August?"
I thought Fringe continued its roll with another strong episode in "August." We got a much better idea of what the Observers are, and learned that they aren't entirely immune to human emotions. What did you think? Click here to read my entire review (including spoilers) and discuss the episode.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Ratings Sinking Again
After moving up the previous week, most network sci-fi and fantasy shows lost ground again last week. Only Ghost Whisperer was up. Four were down by double-digit percentages. Here's how all nine shows did (Eastwick and Dollhouse were pre-empted). • Heroes (NBC, 8pm Monday) 5.07 million ...

FlashForward Helps Me "Believe?"
"Believe" didn't move the plot forward much, but I thought it did a wonderful job making Bryce an interesting and compelling character. What did you think? Click here to read my entire review (including spoilers) and discuss the episode.

Heroes Keeps Going in "Brother's Keeper"
This season's storyline seems to be coming together nicely for Heroes. I thought "Brother's Keeper" was a nice mix of plot development and character work. "Brother's Keeper" still wasn't exceptional, but it was leaps and bounds above where Heroes was last season. What did you think? Click ...
